A disposable email is designed to be used once and then discarded. Unlike your personal inbox, a disposable address has no history, no subscriptions, and no connection to your identity. You use it for a single purpose — a download, a verification, a test — and then it's gone.
What is a disposable email?
A disposable email is a temporary address that you use for a single task and then throw away. It receives mail like any inbox, but there's no account to manage, no password to remember, and no spam that follows you. When you're done, you delete the address or simply generate a new one.
How it works
Tempora generates a real, functioning mailbox the moment you open the page. Copy the address, use it wherever you need it, and incoming emails appear automatically. When you're finished, delete the address with one tap or generate a fresh one — the old one stops receiving mail.
Benefits
Disposable email keeps your real inbox clean. No marketing emails, no data brokers selling your address, no newsletters you never signed up for. You get a working address for exactly as long as you need it and not a second longer.
Limitations
A disposable address is not suitable for anything you want to return to. If a service sends a password reset email weeks later, it will go to an address you no longer have. Some platforms block disposable domains to prevent abuse.
Privacy
No signup means no personal data collected. Mailbox content isn't permanently stored in our database. Email HTML is sanitized before display and external tracking images are blocked by default to protect you from email tracking pixels.
FAQ
Disposable Email — questions
Everything you need to know about using Tempora's temporary email.
Is disposable email the same as temporary email?+
Yes, the terms are used interchangeably. Both refer to a short-lived email address for one-time use. 'Disposable' emphasizes the throwaway nature, while 'temporary' emphasizes the time-limited nature.
Can I reuse a disposable email address?+
As long as the session is active, the same address keeps receiving mail. Once you delete it or generate a new one, the previous address cannot be recovered.
Do disposable email addresses work for all websites?+
Most websites accept them, but some block known disposable email domains to prevent abuse. If a site rejects the address, the sender may have a blocklist in place.
